History

Founded in 2003 by Ingram Leedy, Elephant Outlook was an early adopter of Microsoft’s hosted Exchange platform. Prior to starting Elephant Outlook, Mr. Leedy had previously built and operated iThink, an ISP (Internet Service Provider), which was ultimately sold to EarthLink. Elephant Outlook and its predecessor, iThink, have operated from the same primary facilities for approximately 15 years. The company’s headquarters are located in Winter Haven, Florida along the I-4 corridor, mid-way between Tampa and Orlando.

Elephant Outlook built its business around organizations with security and compliance needs. The company was selected by the United States government to provide secure e-mail services to the transitional government of Iraq during the second Persian Gulf War. The company continues to provide government services at the federal level and has leveraged its security and compliance expertise to broaden its target markets to include state and local government as well as the financial and health-care sectors.
